Woah Prada, check out the rocks on the Spazzolato Tote! I honestly think that even if you’re no fan of glitz and sparkles on a handbag, there’s no way you can deny this attractive piece. The Artisan Corner is a new unique event that brings the craftsmanship of Gucci’s Florentine leather goods factory directly to its clientele. And this month the House’s most skilled artisans will travel to a select few Gucci stores here within the US, where they will be stationed at custom-built workshops.The Artisan Corner will include work tables, a sewing machines, a leather stand, and various tools that are used to make some of Gucci’s most memorable leather goods. The artisans be working on various classics like the Bamboo, New Jackie, New Pelham, G Wave and as well as small leather goods. Gucci announced, “Customers will be able to see craftsman as they hand-stitch handles, assemble bamboo tassels, prepare leather strips for woven stitching and hand emboss customer’s initials, offering a unique viewing of Gucci’s time honored traditions.”The Gucci Artisan Corner tour will embark on it’s four city US tour beginning on April 19th at Gucci’s Stockston Street in San Francisco and making a few more stops in Beverly Hills (April 22), Chicago (April 26), and finally finishing up the tour at Gucci’s 5th Avenue flagship in Manhattan on April 29th.

Feast your eyes on the Castoro Beaver Fur Shoulder Bag, a piece that arrives as freaky as any fur bag could possibly get. Although a handbag with fur on it would never make my collection, I can admire a piece that’s reasonably attractive for its exotic appeal… but this is simply horrid.This style is definitely wild and needs to remain in its natural habitat or at the zoo and away from the runway. I can’t find anything attractive about this piece, and the attempt to create a masterwork by combining a classic flap design with padlock décor and beaver pellets is quite bothersome. Where to carry this chained beaver to? Definitely not in my neck of the woods, but even if there was an appropriate place to carry this to, with the $2,250, the Castoro bag would be the last piece I would consider splurging that much on. I’ve always been a fan of Valentino’s extra structured and braided Histoire Satchel, so when I heard the news that there’s a new Histoire in town, I definitely had to track it down. I can spot the resemblance from its older satchel sibling, but the end result is most definitely a very different product from the original. If the oversized taller classic wasn’t suitable enough for you, then check out its more compact look.In the new Histoire I like all of its features, but being such a huge fan of the Classic Histoire, I feel like this newbie is lacking. Comparing this to the Classic, the braided handles look flimsy, the over flap isn’t quite as attractive, and I’m thinking small decorative pockets would have added more character to this version.I also feel like a splash of color would have made this piece more attractive (just check out the luscious: Valentino Pearlized Blue Historie) but perhaps this is the first of the many new Histoire’s that are coming our way. It’s design is simple but striking. It’s textures soft and inviting. The versatility of black and brown together makes good financial sense for your wardrobe. The shiny silver studs aren’t too overly-edgy and contrast nicely against the soft black suede. The cross-body and top handle style provide functionality. From ornaments to sweaters, you can buy all of your accessories and wants glamed and ready for the holidays.I myself fell victim of a black sequined skinny scarf; it’s cute, can get uncomfortable every once in a while, but I can see myself hanging it up after winter for the next year to come. But what about a sequined handbag, could it possibly last you the season plus the following year? I’d say yes, especially since I’d say the glimmery trend is to wear every so often, not necessarily everyday.
Every year you can always count on the Metallic handbag trend around the Fall / Winter season. It’s one of those trends that refuses to die, it’s like stuck on a repeat schedule. Not that I’m complaining, I think it’s the perfect choice to match with a little black dress, especially around the holiday season. One that fits the bill, is the Juicy Couture Lady Lock. When it comes to Juicy Couture handbags, my opinion always falls to one side – either I like it or I don’t. And this one I definitely like (minus the chain).This bag comes dressed in a shimmery lizard-embossed leather and accessorized with a very fabulous turn-lock closure and wraparound buckled straps. There’s a single large compartment, and also a large zip pocket hiding under flap. One thing I’m not a fan of is the chain strap. Sure it’s nice if you want to have your hands free, but this bag would look so much better if it was detached and worn as a clutch. Fur may be the hot thing this Fall, but I am thinking FEATHERS! Never before have I seen such a gorgeous piece! Wow, it has literally taken my breath away!
